I am NOT an artist. I do not sell art or get commissions (obviously). However, since the quarantine, I've been learning how to draw! I have always wanted to learn how to draw faces, plants, and flowers. Botanicals are my absolute favorite. The struggle has been real. No lie. (As you can see on this page--there's a lot of very undesirable stuff on here). But, I refuse to NOT try doing something I have always wanted because the results are going to be discouraging and quite grim.  And I know what I am presenting here is just really a representation of my journey, with a lot of missteps and a ton of artistic mistakes.  Some ugly pieces. Yes, amateur. I still can't pretend that I know what I'm doing! Most of the time I am just playing around, doodling, sketching, coloring with oil pastels. But I am practicing and trying and more importantly, I am enjoying myself. Hopefully a little progress will be made over the next few years. I know this page can be defined as an eye sore to an extent, but I am always working to improve in all aspects of my life!

I encourage you to try a new skill. If there's something you've always wanted to do, go for it, even if it looks super impossible. Try it anyways. What do you have to lose?
